Area Descriptions
Battlefields!
Once your armies have reached a target you will notice the target county pops up under the area titled 'Battlefields'! You can view a battlefield by simply selecting 'View' next to the battlefield you wish to see. This is the Battlefield Overview area, it is where you can view attackers/defenders and decide when to start the fight. It is important to note that ANYONE can initiate the battle, even the target when they have no defending forces, so make sure you have planned ahead and aren't outnumbered when you arrive!
You may also choose to 'Return' armies from a battlefield, the return time will be the same as the time it took to reach the target. Also worth noting is that the battlefield county has a chance to be notified of your departure, regardless of whether you were defending or sieging. It is all chance-based, you can see your chance to be noticed in the 'Battlefield Overview' area.
Incoming Armies
This is where ANY army that is headed to your county will be displayed, it will also let you know what the intentions of that army is. To see this, look next to the name of the army and it will tell you in brackets what the intention is. For example, it might say (will Defend), (will Siege), or (will Idle). It is important to keep track of armies on the move to your county so you know the right time to trigger a battle!
Outgoing Armies
Similar to Incoming Armies except that these armies are all owned by you, they will also display intent so you can easily track which armies you are sending to siege and which you are sending to defend!
You may also choose to 'Return' armies that are on-route to a target, the return time will be however long they have been marching away from you (and will always be at least 1 tick).
Sending an Army
When you need to move an army to another county (to either siege it or defend it) you will use this area of the War Room. Here you specify a target, choose an army, and then decide on its intention. After sending an army it will be shown in the Outgoing Armies area so you can keep track of its progress!
Important Notes
- It will NOT always announce in the kingdom news when an army is sent to siege. If it doesn't create kingdom news then it also won't notify the target county through his/her county news. It is all chance-based, some races will be better at sneak attacks than others. You can see your chance to be noticed in the 'Send Army' area.
- Just because you don't get notified that an army is on the way to siege you does NOT mean you can't see the soon-to-siege army under 'Incoming Armies'. You can always see all army traffic if you go to your War Room.
- Battles can be made up of multiple accounts, and as such experience gains determine who gets the loot. So the more experience your armies earn in the battle the more loot you will receive!
- The maximum rounds a battle can last is currently set to 50, at that point the defender is declared victorious having held the line!
